Acclaimed director Zack Snyder was about to release Rebel Moon, his newest film on Netflix, which tells the story of farmers on a distant moon who rebel against an intergalactic empire trying to take their entire harvest.

For the film’s launch, Sabritas partnered with Netflix to imagine what would happen if the Empire arrived first, not in space, but in Sonora, Mexico, at a Sabritas potato field, attempting to seize the entire crop. But the invaders were ultimately defeated by the cleverness of Sabritas’ farmers and the fiery heat of Flamin’Hot.

To tell this story, we created a short film that was released inside Netflix as platform content, and was also distributed across social media.
